It depends on lots of factores: How many links are there on the homepage? Google only gives importance to the first 100, and even so, the pagerank it will carry is so low, that it doesn’t matter.

Does MSN use a nofollow tag? Even if it doesn’t, how do we know that Google hasn’t devaluated links from MSN? It does that to some sites that are known to sell text links (like what happened with the O’Reilly network).

A link from a site on the same topic, is worth more than an out of topic site. And what topic does MSN have? Even so, it may count something…

So keep this in mind. A link from a high PR page is good, if it’s on your theme, if it has few links, and if Google hasn’t devaluated that page.
