OK … so I click through and what do i see ?

I like the header picture … lot’s of cash stacked .. two players facing off .. you can feel the tension and excitment … good … although others will say that this is your prime space and it could be better used.
There are ads from Power-ranking.com and a TV show at the bottom (which I quickly shut up) … candy floss …
(thinks) … hmmm … there is no activity going on in this site at all in the first screen. What am I supposed to look at ?
As for the stuff below the TV …
A message board with 10 posts in the last 10 days. (dead)
A poll of best players that expired on 31st Dec (dead)
I assume that the GREY menu is yours, it’s really pretty bland and nondescript if it is your main menu and supposed to be the focus.
How about structuring it better, organising it into groups and highlighting the best two or three options that might keep people on your site ? Perhaps even a sentence or two about the best categories.
I clicked on the first link that interested me – ONline Poker Review – and I go to a “banner farm” with 12 banners on it. How is this a review? It’s blatant advertising.
I close the window and chalk the site up as another affiliate banner farm.

SUMMARY:
Despite the great picture … the first page contains dead vcontent and the most dynamic thing is a link to another site (other than a running TV program) and how does that help you to keep visitors ?
The first sub-page that I choose did not deliver any good content. If I was a newbie player how would I choose? Where was the review? Where was the recommendation.
Overall … I can’t see how you expect this site to :
1) appeal to new visitors
2) appeal to returning visitors
3) make any sales .. .ever …
Just what is your sales plan?
