I’ve tried and tried with FA and have had limited if not disappointing results in comparison to other programs.

They just never seemed good at retention in comparison to places like Referback. I couldn’t trust FA like I could RB to show a healthy bottom line (most the time anyway, RB had a crappy year or so with me too; but even during that time they showed me more than I would see using FA).

Now I hear both are owned by same people and I will be watching closely to see if my income at RB begins to stumble in the direction of what I saw when I promoted FA properties; or if it stays healthy and continues to retend the few big players I have at RB that play regularly (some for years).

Which btw brings to mind my second point: take it from somebody who has been around a while; Rev share is almost always the best way to go by far.

Personally its very hard for me not to think it as being “short-sighted” to even consider using anything but rev share for reasons that are anything other than if you’re pretty sure the traffic isn’t worth its weight; because I can almost guarantee you that you will be sorry in the long run by a long shot NOT getting the rev share deal.

I said this about RB back when everybody was really down on them (and rightfully so; they were wrong) that they had proven to me to be worthy of consideration because when I had that bad year with them I took down their banners for about a year after that; and 70% of that time they were my best producers despite my not agressively or even actively promoting them.

*oops; forgot to add:
:)

that I wouldn’t be able to say such nice things about RB if I’d taken the bird in the hand; that money would have been spent long ago and not still be coming in month after month, year after year.

There really is no comparison. I know I couldn’t afford to advertise for what CPA pays. I’d have to close my doors. simple as that.
