Hi All,
Re: Stats … total separate issue, but there was a run-away process which a table level lock and that kept some of reports from being updated. If you check now you can see your stats are there as expected.
re: been going on for a few years. ?? I have only been aware of this issue [inflated clicks/downloads] for a couple months and can trace it back to about July/Aug 2005.
Re: inconsistent CR replies. How are we inconsistent? We have agreed there is a problem with inflated clicks/downloads. We are actively trying to fix it. We agree everybody is getting credit as expected, but appreciate that affiliates shouldn’t have to put up with the extra clicks/downloads. One of the theories we had while trying to figure this out is that the inflated clicks and downloads might be caused my SE bots. Some affiliates have been good enough to test this theory with us and that is evident here in this thread.
As for calls of resignation, we are talking about a few extra clicks and downloads here … not affiliates getting ripped off, not lack of support, not poor business ethics. My personal take is that you either don’t understand the situation or are unwilling to. No offence intended, but you are so far off the mark [elephant gun to kill a fly, mentality] that I can only conclude some of the fundamentals are missing on this one.
