Again, there is nothing convenient [or handy] about me spending my day investigating on our end and then posting in the forums trying to help affiliates understand the situation.
If affiliates don’t make money with us why would they continue pushing us? I guess you don’t have to believe me, but this company has been in the game since the beginning and the affiliate community is obviously very tight … doesn’t make much sense to me to make a few bucks this month to shoot ourselves in the foot for the rest of time.
I do agree with your statement about do whatever works for you. We have affiliates with 1:40 conversion ratios making well into the 5 figures/month and growing month on month. Obviously that traffic works for them and us. Does that mean we’re perfect? Of course not … is there room for us to improve? absolutely! Are we doing that as we speak? YES! [watch out for early 2006] Thanks, in part, to feedback from affiliates and threads like this one.
