As for playing instead of promoting, I fell prey to the temptation a while back when Millionaire Club first reached the top-ranked game at SlotCharts. I didn’t really read the rules well enough, and I thought I needed to bet max denomination to have a shot at the jackpot. I played 9 lines at $1 each, for $9 a spin. Later, I learned that’s not the max bet anyway, as you can crank the thing up to a ridiculous $20 denomination for $180 per spin!
The good news is apparently you don’t have to be betting the higher denominations to have a shot at the jackpot though.
