Addiction is an important issue facing this industry, and we as webmasters should be worried about where that leads our businesses. That said, it is difficult to know any of the people we refer to another site, and their playing habits, but there are some things we can do that may help a bit. One thing I notice on a lot of casino sites that I rarely see on a portal site is a link to Gamblers Anonymous. I think it might lend more credibility to our sites if we at least had the GA logo and a link to their site, making it more visible so that someone may actually seek help if they desired. I also wonder how many of our sites have been registered with parental control software (ie: NetNanny, ICRA, or others), which would keep some underage gamblers from being able to view our sites. These may be small things, but important for being responsible members of the gambling community.
