I have used it.. and still do. I do not think it is a junky program or bad in any way. It depends upon how and why it is used, like any other program. I think it is a little pricey, but hey… I was new and willing to try it out 
I use it once a week for ranking checking. It keeps track of all your keywords and where you rank thoughout the time you use it… So, you can see a chart of your progress or lack thereof.
