The answer to this would be so long – I have written about this at meister and here over and over.

Programs giving rake back to players – that is wonderful. It is the programs who should be giving this.

Some Poker rooms think they can avoid giving retention incentives to good players because they can talk hungry or greedy affiliates into doing it for them.

Players are pushed into talking rooms to letting them switch accounts, greedy rooms are stealing players out from under honest affiliates.

Affiliates are teaching players how to switch accounts without telling the rooms. That is how they steal players from other affiliates.

And we have lots of fraudulent affiliates not paying what they promised to the players.

Such a big can of worms! Theft and more theft. If an affiliate who does not offer rake back promotes a poker room that allows affiliate driven rake back, they can be sure that they are going to be stolen from.

The affiliate will never know just how many players are stolen from them. There is no way to tell.

Not only can affiliates not trust other affiliates anymore, you also cannot trust the rooms that allow rakeback. When a large player asks to be taken out of the account of one affiliate and put in the account of another, the rooms cave and steal the player out from the legitimate affiliate’s account.

So, affiliates and players both get cheated here.

Rake back is a loyalty reward and a high roller incentive. Casinos have been giving these out for ever. Now poker rooms thought they would make out like bandits letting affiliates pay these things out of their pockets. They have created a greedy, criminal element in the industry.
