800 x 600 is still the lowest common denominator when designing a web site…there are still a large number of people out there with smaller screens sizes. Think laptops and people in 3rd world countries that can’t upgrade as easily. 1024 x 768 is a popular size, but you have to design to the lowest common denominator.
