Ask Jeeves (and all the other search engines) take into account who’s linking to you and what they’re saying about you when they rank sites. To get indexed by Ask Jeeves, you should get multiple links and have multiple links going out too. Having someone put up a link and then take it down isn’t going to accomplish very much.
