Didn’t mean to avoid the question guys, but we needed to check with AP before we could give any details.

Generally, Poker sites calculate the rake by dividing the total rake for the hand by the number of players involved in the hand. You’re right bb1webs that the winning player is the one who pays the rake in the sense that it comes out of the total pot that they win, but the revenue is split by the number of players in the hand. Some Poker sites may vary a little bit in the what they consider “involved in the hand” and you can check with the aff managers of the other various programs you promote, but generally that’s it.

At UB for example, if a player sees the flop, they are considered in the hand. So if the pot is $100 and the rake is $5, then if there are ten players in the hand, each player generates $0.50 in rake.

AP made an internal decision to use a flat amount of $0.095 rake per hand, which represented the average player. We have discussed this issue with AP and we have been told that they will be changing to the above mentioned structure starting August 1st when they move their program in house.

I hope that clarifies things a little and sorry again MrMcGee if you didn’t get a satisfactory answer to your question the first time.

If anyone has any questions about rake with UB or any of the new Poker clients that will be popping up in Income Access over the next little while, contact me anytime.
