The guy works for Tradedoubler, it just wasn’t mentioned anywhere on the e-mail.
Why do i have trouble with UK affiliate companies, they accept only English citizens, it’s the internet, who cares where you live. If they accept customers from a country, they should accept affiliates too.
My William Hill story
I had a betting account with William Hill before i got into this affiliate thing.
All was well for a couple of years.
Then i placed a bet on the futures market. San Antonio to win NBA Title.
At the time, they were in around 20th place, and their odds were 40-1.
I put $100 on them because…well it’s a secret
They went on to win it all.
Will Hill was pissed
They paid out, not with their customary British charm, but with a more rude and aggressive attitude.
After that i never ever received any special promo offers, which used to constantly come in.
When i got into affiliating, i wanted to run their adds and partner with them, but they refused.
Refuse me ?, no gaming company has ever refused me.
I thought it was strange that they were the only place to decline my application, so i contacted them again, and again they refused.
I thought they might have originally made a mistake so i showed them where i wanted to place their ads on my site.
I have now accepted the fact that they just don’t like me.
If you think this is strange, i have more stories about places that changed their tone when you cash out on a nice bet, it’s become common practice with the sportsbooks.
3 places offered me a cash settlement to close my account with them, and as they said, “Go bet somewhere else”
I’m not sure if I should name them, i guess i could if anyone really cares
Maybe we can set up a “Bad Business Practice” section here.
