Run. Run fast. aplus.net is one of the most horrible companies on the Internet. I’m sorry you paid for a year in advance. I’ve never dealt with them but knew enough not to. They used to use peoples’ websites to run cloaked links at the bottom.

Quote:
April 26, 2004 — Web hosting provider Aplus.net admitted last Friday that it “cloaked” customer’s Web sites with hidden code in order to boost its search engine rankings, but said that it had removed the links as soon as it became aware of them.

Also in April of 2004 I bought a new domain. The next day I woke up and found a voice mail on my cellphone. It was aplus.net trying to solicit business from me. Needless to say I didn’t call back, and they wouldn’t have wanted me to.

Unfortunately you’ve just run into a very bad company, and I’m not really sure what you can do about it. I can say for future reference if you’re looking for a company, go back to WHT and search the company name. You’ll find out rather quickly if they’re worth dealing with or not.
