Some affiliate programs won’t do anything for small affiliates, much less negotiate a better % with them. So IMO many small affiliates just don’t even try to negotiate, they just take the better deal. I have been trying to get a unique bonus code for over a month from a program, that has given them to other affiliates, for an offline promotion and have gotten nowhere, so I just gave up and contacted another program. This happens when you have no leverage.
