Some of the offending scum must of seen my post here at CAP. They removed one Titles that included Captains Free Casinos and such. Some of these scumbags do this http://www.yoursite.com/captains-free-casinos.html as an example. Others just title there page and do H tags Captains Free Casinos. What these scumbags are attempting to do is steal my type in traffic when someone types in Captains Free Casinos at Google and other search engines.
I will name and shame anyone that does this from now on.
“Type is traffic” is when someone types your name into the browser address bar and goes to your site. And yes I dont agree with the practice, but its done to just about every site thats in the top 10 for any length of time – it sucks when you have been or are being targeted. But there isnt much you can do about it.
Sure if you contact them you might get lucky and have one or two remove it, but thats not likely – if they are interested in profiting off your name in the first place – they are not into doing things ethically!
There are worse things out there – for instance having your top position serp targeted by a scumware advertiser. EG when someone clicks on your link listed atop the search engines this piece of $hits ad pops up. Who could be doing such a thing? “Anyone” know anyone doing that?
