As someone who promotes a great deal more poker than casino’s here’s my take on it.

It is good to have some CPA deals, but in the long run your going to build your income by doing revenue sharing at sites like PartyPoker and Empire.

There is alot of discussion on which revenue share programs are best. Quite honestly that depends on your traffic. If your attracting alot of traffic that you suspect does not currently play poker, in other words new players to the market, then PartyPoker is the route to go. There is already a great deal of brand recognition with Party and you don’t have to worry about lack of action or game selection. If your traffic is primarily exsisting online poker players then there is a good chance they already have a Party Poker account. Look at promoting UB, Full-Tilt, Pacific, etc.

To market to these folks you need to be promoting a site w/ revenue sharing that brings something new to the table such as WSOP qualifiers or EPT qualifiers, etc.. The Aruba tournaments on UB can bring in some good RMP’s thsat typically play at Party and Stars.

My experience with CPA has been pretty good with Stars during the months that the WSOP is on ESPN every hour of every day. When your clients see your ad, text link, or banner on your site when “Poker Stars” is still fresh on their mind from seeing it on T.V. you can get some decent conversions.

I would be curious to know what type of marketing new affiliates are doing to get even 200-300 “play” money accounts signed up in 30 days. Not many people are able to accomplish this starting out :lookaroun
