Bernie the CAP breaks are informal gatherings. The only scheduled events tend to be dinners and a cocktail hour or two. Last year in Miami we had an attorney speak to us about the current state of affairs regarding legislation and legal considerations for affiliates, we plan on inviting him to speak again this year. We also went deep sea fishing, but the seas were a little rough so we may stick to land based activities in Miami this year.
This time around we are planning on golf challenges in Las Vegas and Miami (if we have enough people interested).
The reason we keep the schedule so open is to allow the maximum amount of time for networking. This is truly what conferences and breaks offer. The chance to meet up with affiliates you chat with all year. To discuss how to grow our businesses and to meet the affiliate managers we work with or would like to work with. EVERYONE always goes home with a few new deals and a ton of fond memories (along with the requisite hang overs and party war stories!).
It’s a lot of fun, it bonds friendships, it increases business and its tax deductible. I think if you come to just one of our breaks you’ll be hooked.
Unlike some other gatherings, you wont just sit silently in a circle with a handful of sour pusses in an empty room with nothing to eat or drink. We P-A-R-T-Y and make it happen! :guitar: :guitar: :guitar:
