The trick would be getting your visitors involved in real conversations rather then just add a Spam Fest to your portal. There are more then a few people out there who spam Blogs mercilessly with automated programs in an attempt to gain back links. You may inadvertantly be helping spammers while gaining nothing of value yourself.
