Two details about reciprocal linking:
1. Make sure to use proper anchor text to link back to yourself – words that you are using for search engines.
2. Consistently use the whole url – including the “www” as in [url]http://www.mysite.com.[/url]
I found these things out the hard way when I was newer to this.
Just recently, my site lost its “www” PR, yet maintained PR on non-www (hope this makes sense). And now my site is divided into a PR 5 for the whole domain (with www pr) and PR4 for the non-www.
Would have saved me a lot of time if I had known google saw http://www.mysite.com and http://mysite.com separately.
