That is exactly the reason they are doing this. In 2-3 years I am sure they will see a profit.

No registar can put banners, text-links, pop-ups blah blah blah on your websites. Your host is the one who can do that. And even then your host will only put banners/text-links on your websites if you are using a free-hosting feature.
