LOL no worries Ellen,
your advice is absolutely correct btw.
and its what I should have opted to say in the first place after reading how truly green behind the ears this one is;
but its also why I chose 5 card for an answer
its not easily misplayed as long as you don’t chase and as long as you don’t play small stakes, by that I mean $3/$6 or less,
you won’t run onto a huge amount of chasers. In fact, it doesn’t take long for even the worst of chasers to curb that habit at the $5/$10 and up tables (for all but the stupidest anyway) because can speak from experience: those people will eat you alive.
I think 5 card is the best thing to play if you’re having trouble with discipline because no other poker game I can think of will teach one quicker not to chase hands.
its almost like being pregnant, you either are chasing, or you aren’t; but that’s hard to remember sitting on a king – ten with only 3 other players at the table.
but I guarntee you’d have been sorry too many times at the end of the day to ever make it profitable.
LOL and I can hear a bunch of you thinking right now how “that’s not too bad a hand.” or “well what’s everybody else got showing?”
am I right?
