They are not foreign language websites though are they as most
of the content is in english.They may well differenciate between
languages (its done already) but not domain origination.
Its not so apparant in gambling as the main keywords are dominated by us websites but if you look further afield in
particular consumer shopping websites as diverse as au,be,it
fr,co.uk etc feature well on the first pages and not because they
are overly optimised either.
to answer your question fergie i have spoken to a few so called seo experts and have been told as long as top level domains
are used they enjoy the same serps as .coms.
