Affiliate programs should consider that we use bookmarks that go as directly to the stats as possible. Therefor, if you make a change in the site or move to another server, this access usually gets lost.
Affiliates try to be fast when checking stats – so many bookmark the stats page itself and end up calling an error login page .
I wonder how many affiliates decided programs had died when this happened.
Down come the links when you think a program died….
So I can only suggest to programs to be aware of this and always contact your affiliates by mail when making any changes to the site that may alter the URL of pages, any pages that concern affiliates.
