I think domain names that are search terms are going to be HOT!!!
I don’t know about the Chinese thing though – you can’t use names with .de at all because the Germans go after you in a flash.
But hyphenated domains and ws and so on – I think as the search market tightens and SEO rules more and more – these are going to be hot stuff!
