I think it’s important that casino sites who go down notify their affiliates that they’re down.
I pay for 99% of my traffic, and if I’m paying for traffic that goes nowhere, I’m upset.
I understand the casinos are being victimized by the extortionists, but what I don’t understand is why the affiliate managers can’t shoot a quick email to the affiliates to let them know their site’s down.
Unless the DOS attack interferes with their ability to send emails.
I know that when I was an affiliate account manager (and it was a different industry BTW), I emailed all my major accounts as soon as I knew there were ANY problems with our servers.
