‘Google’s market dominance is expanding each month, and should continue to do so until Yahoo gets a decent product set up, and MSN actually has a search engine.’

I have to disagree with this entirely. MSN is still the homepage and search engine of choice for the majority of net surfers who are not net savvy. Furthermore MSN will be releasing a search engine in the upcoming months. The msn.com website has also received significant makeovers, and each one being significantly superior to its predecessor.

The main problem that surfers reported with yahoo (and the main reason that surfers chose google) for the longest time was that google had no banners. Yahoo took this approach recently. Now that the results at Yahoo are far superior to google there is no need for anyone to go to a different website that offers mediocre results when Yahoo offers a lot more.

Also, how is google gaining market share when they just lost their main partner?

As far as I’m concerned, I gave up on google when I tried to find travel deals several months ago and all I got was spammed results, the same page over and over again but with different titles. I used msn, but now that Yahoo has inktomi results, they are my default search engine of choice.

Go inktomi!
