Hello Red…
Thanks for your comments and enthusiasm!
On the issue of getting the affiliate companies to sign up, I think as with any other organisation of tis nature they will have to if we create the demand.
Very astute, and a thought that has crossed my own mind a few times.
Every now & then I get a surprise… I mean, Casino Rewards and Money Mechanic just found the site and joined all on their own… kudos to them for recognizing the need and, over time, potential PR bonanza.
The other current member programs had all given a tenative “yes” to APCW before it ever went online. I wrapped up support from those five programs in Montreal (June 2003) and Vegas (that September) before I cemented the structure for the project.
There are many quality programs out there whom I would LOVE to have join (for the mutual PR) who — for whatever reasons — either do not see a value at this time, or are really dragging their feet… to the point it looks like total non-interest! =0)
Are you planning to promote the APCW at affiliate conferences?
Oh yes. In fact, I came very VERY close to sponsoring an event at the upcoming iAfma cruise to the Bahamas… I changed my mind because: 1)Short conference ; 2)NOT gaming specific ; 3)Price ; 4)Herby never answered my email inquirey about sponsorship ; and, 5)I hear that some of the gaming companies slated to attend are re-considering…
Amsterdam? Probably not… Toronto? Too damned expensive for affiliate benefit… Vegas? Almost a definite yes…
As far as MG casinos, the best advice I can give you is that LOTS of people make tons of money with casinos I cannot give away free… but then, I make fist-fulls of cash that others can’t send a hit to…
Why? If you figure it out, let the rest of us know! LOL! If not, experiment until you find the one or two that do well for your site!
