BB1 there is not enough money to be made to make it worth doing it for the money. I hope that makes sense.

The value of a new organization, if there truly is any, would be the networking and increased communication it would afford for our industry.

I think an association or organization that TRULY represented affiliates interests FIRST could be a powerful force and very benficial for us as webmasters. We have never had that and no one really knows what could be acheived if it did. That’s what excited me about the prospect.

That’s utopia though and probably cant be acheived in a commercial setting, there are simply too many side agendas and motivations to allow a large group of us to get together for the good of all. We saw that at the new group as we lost all focus and everyone wanted the new org to be everything to everyone.

Some wanted to focus on casinos and aff managers, some wanted to gear it towards player/portal unions, some wanted to represent affiliates and webmasters (my camp) and others wanted to encompass every thing even remotely related to gambling. You cant serve so many masters well.

Unfortunately, I dont think enough people are motivated enough to bring this off. Because it would be VERY time consuming and because there isnt a pot of gold as a reward for that effort so far no one (myself included) has been interested in accepting the repsonsibility to drive the thing forward.
