Hi Bernie
I think the recent Mohegan incident is just another brick in the wall that is gradually blocking off GPWA from the rest of our industry.
I want my posts there removed because I do not wish to be associated with that type of behavior or business. The illusion of Professionalism or a Professional Organization has long since evaporated.
It’s not a matter of destroying a database. The GPWA will be intact. Quite frankly I have no idea why people think there is any value to old threads that are archived or no longer viewed anyway.
The real value of any message board is current discussions. These will go on and the remaining members can take full advantage of the exchange of information they always have. I just want my past conversations stricken as they no longer have value to the members and I dont want to appear to be supporting the current management. Look at it as my strong vote of no confidence.
That’s it for me and I think some other former members feel the same way.
I am hoping once this is complete we can move on. I would just as soon get on with business and forget that I made an error in judgement by staying there as long as I did.
I think there are a lot of really good people there being swept along with a bad sitaution, they want a change, but they are afraid to breakaway as they want to keep in touch with their peers. I can fully understand that, hell, it’s what kept me going there for eight or nine months more then it should have. But sooner or later people have to stand up and do the RIGHT thing. It was my time.
In the future I hope yor prediction is correct and that the nightmare will simply fade away once enough people wake up.
Time will tell.
