I only engage when I know she is lying and I agree my attitude may be debateable in this whole mess, but I have refused from day one to lay down and take it.
It worked for me. She tends to give me a wide berth these days and does not enjoy her lies being exposed.
I have been angry many a time but never given way to hatred, that is not in my dictionary. My biggest sorrow is what I have put Ellen through in all this.
It is an apalling feeling when you know someone is trying to totally destroy your credibility but one thing I do know is people can be pretty intuitive in judgement of character and it is often easy to see more of a person personality wise from their posts than they would otherwise realise.
