Well,
You know….I can’t say that this is a bad thing for corporations to do.
I have actually been in situations with clients that we have made entries in their hosts files so that users can’t go to certain sites or use certain instant message programs etc…
I have also been in situatiuons with clients that were using similar pieces of hardware that supported this kind of filtering, but not all of them block this kind of traffic, but they have the capability if it becomes a problem with employee productivity.
