Nevada Gaming Commission Issues 3 Interactive Gaming Licenses

Boyd Gaming, Golden Nugget and Feritta Interactive LLC are the latest gaming companies to receive interactive gaming licenses from the Nevada Gaming Commission.Though all three companies are going after the Nevada market, they’re all taking different approaches.
Ferritta is already in the internet poker space with their popular Ultimate Poker game on Facebook, which was developed after they purchased Cyber Arts Licensing last year. Don’t be surprised to see Ferritta cross-promoting their poker products with their other big brand, the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC).
Boyd gaming is taking the more standard online poker/gaming company route by partnering with Bwin.party and MGM Resorts International for their poker sites. The three companies are forming their own poker development shop with Bwin controlling the majority stake.
Golden Nugget will be working with Bally Technologies, the slot machine maker to develop an real-money poker product. They’ve already launched a free-to-play poker product called GoldenNuggetPoker.com.
Because they’re already running functional poker sites, both Goden Nugget and Feritta could be operating real-money sites in the near future. Boyd’s offering is still in development and there’s no word when they’re expecting to launch.
It’s generally believed that South Point Poker will be the first live online poker site in Nevada, but it’s still anyone’s game.
So far there’s been no word on whether any of these companies will offering affiliate programs to compliment their poker offerings.
