iGB Affiliate Awards to Honor CAP Founder

Ready or not, the official voting period for the iGB Affiliate Awards closed earlier this week; the winners will be announced during the gala ceremony on January 27, 2010 to kick off the 2011 London Affiliate Conference (LAC)

This year, one of those categories — the best iGaming Community Award, for which CAP was nominated — was renamed after CAP founder Lou Fabiano, who passed away in August. Fabiano not only founded CAP, he was a key figure in the online gaming affiliate community, and was also instrumental in creating the iGB Affiliate Awards and the London Affiliate Conference, which serves as a showcase for the awards.

In this newly named Lou Fabiano Award for the Best iGaming Community, CAP is competing against some tough competition — including CalvinAyre.com and Affiliate Guard Dog. We hope everyone got out the vote for CAP, as well as our own Yvette Arlic for Best Affiliate Manager. Check out the full list of iGB Affiliate Awards nominations here.

Now, we wait for the votes to be counted. According to awards organizers, the process now proceeds like this: “[T]he ten entrants per category with the greatest number of votes will be examined by a judging panel who will evaluate each short listed nomination against the judging criteria in order to select the final winner.”

So it’s too late to vote, but it’s not too late to book your travel to London for the Awards and the LAC. Make your travel arrangements via the official London Affiliate Conference website.
