Harrah's Goes Online (Finally)

December 9, 2009 (CAP Newswire) — After months of planning and anticipation, land-based casino giant Harrah’s has finally launched its first Internet gaming website: Caesars Casino Online is now available for online gamers.

Of course, the site is unavailable to players in the U.S. Since announcing its online plans earlier this year, Harrah’s has been a key lobbyist for the repeal of America’s anti-online gambling law, the UIGEA (Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act). So, the company is playing it safe and not risking penalization by allowing U.S. citizens access to its online casino site while the law is in place — although the law does not make online gaming strictly illegal, some experts claim.

The new casino is powered by Dragonfish, the Internet gaming software offered by 888. Like Caesars Palace itself, the new online site offers an impressive variety of games, such as blackjack, baccarat, three card poker, craps, roulette, and more.
