Everest Poker European Cup sees a 1-2 for Switzerland

190 poker players from all corners of Europe flew into Chia Laguna Resort, Sardinia, to contest the third €100,000 Everest Poker European Cup (EPEC) but the weekend belonged to Switzerland.

This was the first major poker tournament where every single knock-out was update live on Twitter.

The winner, Pablo Finini, won with A9 against 88 with a 9 on the river!

With two Swedes on the final table it looked liked being a third consecutive EPEC win for Sweden but the Swiss resistance was too strong.

The final three were; 1st Pablo ‘finini’ Finini (CH), €21,000. 2nd Gael ‘Indian_Air’ Seydoux (CH), €16,000 & 3rd Johan ‘nupassarde’ Carlvik (SV), €12,000.

The main event was directed brilliantly by the ever-cool Thomas Kremser and the Sardinian sunshine was enjoyed by all at the Chia Laguna. Pictures and videos available at: www.everestpoker.com/blog.
