Betting Affiliates Prepare for Kentucky Derby

The Kentucky Derby is just over six weeks away, and most betting affiliates are already hard at work promoting the event.

If you’re a U.S.-facing online betting affiliate marketer, and you don’t promote the Kentucky Derby, there’s still time to add it to your marketing plan. As one of the year’s biggest betting events, the Derby is a great way to enjoy increased traffic and a free marketing push from a truly marquee sporting event.

Frequently called “The Most Exciting Two Minutes in Sports,” the Kentucky Derby is horse racing’s biggest day. Held each year on the first May Saturday at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky, the Derby is a Grade I stakes race for three-year-old Thoroughbred horses.

The betting action is intense, and not just on the main race. As in other major sporting events, the Derby comes complete with a host of available prop bets, mainly in the form of betting on the many prep races that build up to May’s main event.

The next prep race — and betting opportunity — is this Saturday, March 19, at Rebel Oaklawn in Arkansas. In all, there are sixteen scheduled prep races between now and the Kentucy Derby; check out this full list from the St Petersburg Times.

Although CAP Listed Program is the exclusive online betting agent for the Kentucky Derby, all other major U.S.-oriented sportsbooks like BetUS and Bodog also offer odds on the event. Click here to view CAP’s sports betting affiliate partners.
