Vietnam Edges Towards Legalized Gambling
Vietnam is one of the last standing Communist regimes in Asia, but that doesn’t mean they don’t see the value of legalized gambling. Government officials acknowledge that illegal gambling not only supports criminal syndicates, it also send business to neighboring Cambodian casinos.
They’re also inspired by the success of gambling in nearby Singapore. Watch for sports betting and other forms of gambling, including iGaming, to get the nod of approval in Vietnam in the very near future.
You can also be certain that officials from that other big, capitalist-leaning-but-still-Communist government in China will be watching this situation closely.
