InactiveWhat a fun thread ! Here are my 2010 predictions:
1) The New York Yankees will repeat as Major League Champs;
2) The UIGEA implementation will again be “delayed”, after the current 6 month
moratorium expires;3) The Obama administration will seriously consider the legalization of online gaming in
the U.S., due to continued rising national debt. However, no serious talks in Congress
will begin until after the mid-term elections; hence, nothing serious until 2011;4) The cutthroat nature of Rakeback sites will reach epidemic proportions by mid-2010,
and we will see some of the major players get rid of it entirely, followed by an overall
industry decline in its promotion;5) Two major players will come up with the next NETeller, which will be embraced by
the entire online gambling community;6) Google will lose market share to the new combined force of Yahoo!/Bing;
7) Mobile gaming will reach new record usage in 2010;
After reaching 11,500 by April of 2010, the DOW will plunge close to levels of 8,000;9) The price of Gold will retrace to the $ 940 level, and then will take off to the $ 1,400
per ounce level by the end of the year;10) I will win the CAP 10,000 member contest, and be hailed as the ultimate soothsayer
on CAP ! :tongue:January 7, 2010 at 6:46 am #807148Anonymous
Inactive1) Online gambling will not be legalized in the US yet.
2) Bing’s growth rate will diminish and level out, no matter how much Microsoft spends on advertising. Google will remain the clear leader of search.
3) We will see further consolidation of online gaming groups. PartyGaming will close on it’s acquisition of Bwin and 1-2 more major acquisitions will take place.
4) The LAC conference will be the best ever iGaming affiliate conference produced.
5) CAP will change the way casino affiliates interact with the iGaming industry.
6) Mobile gaming will grow at an unprecedented pace.
7) More land based casinos will go the way of Harrah’s and launch online presences targeting European players.
Scratch cards and lottery will grow by 25% or greater over 2005 as an industry.9) Australia will legalize and regulate online gambling.
