Bill Mummery Joins Asian Gambling Subsidiary

August 5, 2008 — Speculation can cease on which gambling company former Isle of Man regulator Bill Mummery has made his professional home. It’s a little-known Manx company called Celton Manx Limited, where Mummery is now an executive director.

Celton came to notice last week with the announcement that it had achieved a license with the Isle of Man jurisdiction as a subsidiary of the widespread Asian gambling group SBObet, itself licensed in the Philippines.

J. Lai, the CEO of Celton Manx, said: “The industry recognizes the Isle of Man as being a premier jurisdiction for well regulated online gambling and we look forward to developing our European base from the Island.”
