FYI incase anyone else plans on moving servers, here is the URL I used, for copying wordpress directly to a new server, keeping my domain name the same. Very easy and strait-forward: How to migrate a WordPress site | IX Web Hosting Blog (I moved AWAY from ixwebhosting To Godaddy, I don’t recommend IX to anyone, but the Guide is good).
Also, don’t copy over the .htaccess file directly, that was where I messed up, wordpress will create a new one for you when you enable permalinks again (disable them before the backup, then re-enable them once moved).
