For me it is not Google, SEO etc these things we can not control.
However the impact on your monthly earnings is depending more and more on the affiliate programs honesty, ethics etc.
1. Locked accounts – players self excluding (read more here : http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/47651-wagershare-renege-on-deal-hold-earnings-for-6-months-not-3-now.html) and How many affy programs steal your players? – Page 7
2. Detagging valuable players from affiliate accounts, only listing the small players.
3. Only show a certain % of deposits, revenue to affiliates (shaving).
4. Cross promotion – not giving credit to the affiliate for using their referred accounts.
Rewards Affiliates Scam : Players Base Compromized | Rogue Casino ProgramsIf you watch the trends more programs are willing to take the risk and jeopardize their trust and good name built for years and about to be destroyed in a short period of time.
If a program is catched and we have proof of cheating the system, I think it is a good thing to contact their licensing jurisdictions to have their license revoked as it is obvious their players are at risk too.
All we have to do is perform quality audits like eg http://www.affiliatesecure.com can we revive them ?
Some very valid points. In hindsight it’s frustrating to say the least, apart from ranting and raving on forums about affiliate programs that shave affiliates we have very little to go on.
The stats reports affiliate programs provide us with are circumspect at best. I think it’s time that affiliates form an affiliate body that compels affiliate programs to belong to this body first before they can market their casinos. The program must adhere to certain rigorous criteria such as regular audit reports on the players sent, etc.
