I agree with you, it is a bit of a waste.. I went through the same thing, and really I think there are other avenues I should have looked at to get that learning curve and thought process into me in 3-6 months.
Trying things out really became an expensive exercise in time and money, and at the end of some of these I might have learned every little other then “that didnt work”
