I found that one of my biggest time wasters was flitting from one thing to the next and hardly ever finishing a particular task, so at the end of the day I was left with many half tasks done.
My best advice would be to finish 1 task before starting another one.
Even if it means closing down your emails for the duration in order to prevent interruptions.IM, skype is another tool that can become a time waster in some instances.
This is all so true, TopBoss. The same thing happens to me all of the time. I find myself becoming more reactive than proactive.
No joke, I start each day with a list of 3-5 must do items that I know can take me to the next step or level with a current project or goal. It’s tough, but if I keep focused on those major priorities and try to keep other things like email, Skype, etc. on the sidelines, I am so much more productive.
