I know this conversation has stagnated but I have a few questions and would welcome some input.

Today’s latest spamvertised domain:

rabbit-jackpot.net

Claims to be “LuckyJune Casino”.

The downloader, however, (smartdownload.exe, the only link on that site] clearly shows the old standby screen for Gold VIP Club.

This is the second full year – at least – that this criminal spam operation has been sending out millions of messages promoting one flavor or another of Gold VIP Club site.

In every case, I have noticed the following details:

a) The SmartDownload.exe file once launched immediately tries to connect to an Akamai server.
b) There is a second url found inside the binary EXE file which always list a server hosted by a company called HostaRica. [hostarica.com.]
c) The website itself and its registration are always based in China.

I have never received any response whatsoever from Hosta Rica regarding close to two years of their support for this criminal operation.

Has anyone here ever had dealings with HostaRica in the past? Do they generally condone and support criminal-purpose websites?

I’d appreciate any input. I am sick of hearing from these assholes.
