My personal opinion on VIPS is that it helps to retain customers by offering something above and beyond the norm. If a player feels that they are being looked after they have a tendency to remain, on my own affiliate figures I find the sites that offer the deals tend to give more longevity to retaining players whereas the sites that offer one-off bonuses tend to get used and burned
