1. Description of the XML File liveodds.xml

Header

: SPORT TYPE
: The sport type ID. Sport types IDs are defined as follows:

200 NBA Basketball
201 NCAA Basketball
202 Game Lines
203 NFL Football
204 MLB Baseball
205 Football
206 NCAA Football

Sport Type description
Odd Type: Standard, Proposition or Future. In this case all types are standard odd types.

Each sport type contains a list of events (1 or more) enclosed within the tag.
Each event consists of the following:

Current time – PST
Open or Closed
Date event closes
Time the event closes
Home team description
Away team description
# of the Home team for the current event (e.g. 200)
# of the Away team for the current event (e.g. 201)
Home team Money Line (e.g -200)
Away team Money Line (e.g. 170)

The following could be undefined or set to OFF:

Home Point spread (e.g -1.5) Away Point spread (e.g. 150) Home Point spread Money (e.g. 1.5) Away Point spread Money (e.g. 190)

2. How to display Odds Data

Displaying odds data is totally up to the implementor as data is stated in an XML format.

The data can be either parsed and transformed using Server-side scripting such as php, jsp, asp, asp.NET or on the client using javascript.
