I hear ya. My son picked up the guitar about 6 months ago too. He plays every day.. and it seems like an eternity in the beginning. I’ve seen him transform from an acoustic hack to a full grow 13 year old rock star (at least in my eyes!).
He doesn’t have any groupies yet, but then again he’s only 12.
I gave up a lot to dedicate to being a webmaster full time too. I started it becasue I needed to make some extra money during med school. Then after I graduated I started taking it seriously. Because I’m on the computer and work at home I’m able to really get intimate with him and get to know him on an entirely new level. I’ve done that since he was a newborn, and I don’t regret it at all.
So it’s actually the freedom I chose instead of the job. Don’t get me wrong, I love “playing” on my computer all day long.
So, I get you.. lol
