“best” thing in spain is that even when the clearly sees that you dont understand a word they are saying, they just keep on chatting away…usually even quicker then normally.
Ended up ordering my food in swedish whilst they replied in spanish… got some kind of food sent in, and to be honest it was quite a good meal.
At least I knew the word, Cerveza which helped….
