No way does the site get 91% traffic from bookmarks and direct address, no matter how good it is.

I have a site with AWSTATS and it says Direct address / Bookmarks 54.2%

I know t that doesnt mean a maximum of 45.8% comes from search engines. Doesnt make sense.

However, if I add up total hits from search engines and work out as % of total number of visitors it equals 77%, now that figure makes alot more sense. Leaving 23% as visits from other sites and a bookmarks/direct address.

Id find it hard to believe only 9% of gamesandcasino’s traffic comes from search engines, even if it doesnt get much from google.

I think if you add up total hits from search engines and then work out as % of “number of visits” it will be above 9%. Id put money on it!

Just letting you know, so you understand the traffic. ((by all means correct me if Im wrong))

Actually, it pretty much pans out as far as I can tell. Google sends me only between 600 and 1000 clicks a month anymore. It’s nothing compared to what it used to be. It’s nothing in the traffic I get today. It’s a big zero. Yahoo and MSNlive send a few thousand each. It works out, and it also makes sense. I have a huge free play section that always has people playing. Also, many of my players will always return to pick another casino, I can see them migrating to new offers and new casinos. I try to keep track of the bigger ones, they have habits of clicking on certain pages and types of ads when they get ready to move on. I see them disappear from casinoX, I see that type click, and they appear at casinoY – bingo. I am much more interested in the behavior of my players than the search engines, I cater to the players. When the aforementioned player made his/her move to a new casino, I make sure I put a fesh offer for them in their preferred clicking spots. I actively do retention that way and never need to know the player to know what they like and expect from me.

I think Dom is regretting posting her stats lol.

You betcha, I dislike discussing any type of stats and income and such in public, and I will be more careful in future not to open up the topic.

It is interesting though, and I did learn something. :)
